G20 Kick Can Of Chaos Down The Road

Last week in Moscow, the latest G20 meeting of financial leaders and central bankers of the world's industrialized nations kicked the can of chaos just a little bit further down the road, choosing to focus on relatively minor matters such as tax evasion by multinational companies like Amazon - instead of tackling the bear of worldwide economic contagion that is breathing down their collective necks.

Sure, at the end of the meeting - a mere prelude to a gathering in September that will bring together President Obama, Russia's dictator, Vladimir Putin, and other heads of state - the G20 did issue a communiqu which would make it appear that they recognize the gravity of their problem.

Still the G20 leaders were just making an attempt to improve their own popularity instead of actually dealing with the unpleasant realities of the international economy. They valiantly spoke about "growth before austerity" completely ignoring the fact that many western countries are basically bankrupt, with all entrepreneurial businesses so strained by taxes that there is no incentive for people to try very hard.

As we have pointed out here many times, the Bible notes in Matthew 24 that deception will be the greatest characteristic of the last days. The G20 leaders have no idea how to solve the worldwide economic crisis, so they only try not to scare everyone.

But everyone had better be frightened. There is an antichrist and his system waiting in the wings, and global financial collapse will usher them in.

We should see the handwriting on the wall from all this: The U.S. dollar will be replaced quickly by a new global currency. The Fed is only making a show to prop up financial markets with its constant "quantitative easing."

How long before America's massive debt obligations, which now all told come to more than $200 trillion, will simply crush our economy - and our will? Only the people controlling the purse strings know for sure.

In the midst of all this, it's essential that the American church become relevant again. People are leaving churches in droves since they see the world around them as it is and they see how the churches are neglecting the truth. Many individuals see the globe in chaos around them while their religion neglects truth.

One megachurch recently sponsored a speech by a financial adviser who touts paper investments - even urging people to sell their gold and turn it into paper assets - when a "dollar" now is only worth the paper it's printed on. Don't sell your gold when, according to our mentors, it could now skyrocket to a price of $12,000 an ounce.
